New Britain GOP Starts Preparing For '13 Elections

The Republican Town Committee has put out a call for candidates to run for mayor, school board and common council.

The GOP also seeks candidates for tax collector, city treasurer and constable, as well as for seats on the board of assessment appeals.

"While the NBRTC is primarily seeking Republican candidates, we will also endorse Democrats and unaffiliated/independents who support efforts to lower taxes, limit government spending and create private sector jobs," the committee said in a statement.
