Family and Childhood are under Reliable?Protection

An international forum on the theme of "Spiritual and moral foundations of society in the social support system of childhood and family" started in Tashkent.

The forum is being organized by the Republican Centre for Social Adaptation of Children, Sen yolgiz emassan (You are not alone) Republican Public Children's Fund together with the Ministries of Education, Higher and Secondary Special Education, Health, Labor and Social Protection, Culture and Sports, Tashkent city hokimiyat, representative offices of UNICEF and UNESCO in our country.

Senators, deputies, heads of various ministries and departments, public organizations, teachers, lawyers, doctors, members of the media and foreign experts participate in it.

Permanent representative of the Republic of Uzbekistan to UNESCO, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Republican Centre for Social Adaptation of Children and the Children?s Fund Sen yolgiz emassan Lola Karimova-Tillayeva, chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions T.Norboyeva, Deputy Prosecutor General A.Sharafiddinov, Minister of Public Education T.Shirinov, Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education B.Hodiyev, A.Alimov Health Minister and Minister of Labor and Social Protection A.Haitov and others spoke about the reforms carried out in Uzbekistan in this sphere. They noted that in the years of independence, such noble traditions like care about children and respect for mothers are being enriched with new content.

In our country, implementation of the principle of "Healthy mother ? healthy child", upbringing of harmoniously developed generation has become a truly national movement. All the necessary conditions have been created to ensure a healthy and worthy life of our people, maternal and child health, education, spiritual and physical health of young generation and to promote sports.

The head of UNICEF office in Uzbekistan Jean-Michel Delmont, Deputy Permanent Representative of the United Nations Development Programme in Uzbekistan Jako Silliers, head of the UNESCO office in Uzbekistan Krista Pikkat as well as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Israel to Uzbekistan Hillel Newman noted at the forum that the Uzbek national model of well-being of families, social protection of maternity and childhood receives special recognition also on an international scale.

In the implementation of the State program "Year of Family", the scope of the reforms has expanded and the effectiveness has been increased even more. The activities aimed at further strengthening the spiritual foundations of our society, maternal and child health, improving the living conditions of families and education of harmoniously developed generation are being carried out consistently.

Progressive steps towards full coverage of pregnant women screening examination, vaccination of children against infectious diseases, increasing the medical culture of young people allow to prevent the birth of children with disabilities, as well as to reduce the rates of congenital and hereditary diseases.

The cooperation of "Family - mahalla - educational institution" plays an important role in creating a high spiritual atmosphere in a society and in the fight against the negative influences to our national mentality.

The Universities of parents were organized in all mahallas by Charity Foundation Mahalla, the Women's Committee, the Ministry of Public Education and together with other organizations. These social structures are important in explaining to parents, the legal, psychological and social aspects of upbringing of children and providing them with necessary advices, in detail.

In our country, in the process of practical measures for a strong and targeted social protection of all children, regardless of their nationality and social status, a special attention is given to the further improvement of the activities of orphanages, full education and vocational training of their students.

The issues of health promotion of children from needy families and children with difficult life, protection of their rights and interests, enhance social protection and to facilitate their integration into society are considered as the priority tasks of the Republican Children's Fund Sen yolgiz emassan and the Republican Centre for Social Adaptation of Children.

The issues of social protection of motherhood and childhood as a basis for ensuring the future of children and youth, family well-being, legal, psychological, educational, medical and rehabilitative aspects of protecting young people, families and maternity, ways to improve the social integration of children with special needs on the basis of national values, spiritual foundations of family protection were discussed in detail at the sectional meetings of the forum.
